I can also help you manage your property for deer or grouse hunting. Selective harvest of timber can improve your woodlot and generate substantial income. Not all woodcutters are honest. . . . that best forest management practice includes the selective cutting of trees in your woodlot at least every thirty years? If you are not thinning and culling out the old growth you risk weakening your trees. This usually results in major damage from insects and weather events. The loss of value and cost of removal of fallen trees after a storm can be in the tens of thousand of dollars!
Thoughtful, selective cutting will protect and improve your woodlot as it generates income to cover taxes and improvements. You will probably end up with cash in your pocket along with a healthier woodlot! Call me for more information!
